Product Description
The Broadcom eHBA 9620-16i is the newest addition to the 9600 platform and the only member of the family to combine host-bus-adapter connectivity with basic Integrated RAID (IR) support. Built on the SAS4016 I/O Controller (IOC), it delivers 16 internal Tri-Mode SAS/SATA/NVMe ports over two x8 SFF-8654 (SlimSAS) connectors and an x8 PCIe Gen 4.0 host interface. Unlike the pure pass-through 9600 eHBAs, the 9620-16i can run RAID 0, 1 and 10 with global hot-spare and automatic-rebuild support for buyers who want lightweight boot or data protection alongside direct device connectivity, while still exposing drives in JBOD mode for software-defined storage. It supports up to 32 SAS/SATA and 32 NVMe devices, is UBM ready, and includes Hardware Secure Boot, SPDM attestation and MegaRAID SafeStore SED key management. It ships as a low-profile card with a full-height bracket attached.
